Enter rates in a few simple steps.
There are three types of rates to enter into Vehichaul: Contract, Lane and Mileage.
Contract Rate - A contract rate is a rate from Destination A to Destination B, such as a Rail Yard to a Dealership.
Lane Rate - A lane rate is a rate from an area to an area, or a zip code to a zip code.
Mileage Rate - A mileage rate is a rate that measures the miles driven, and calculates a rate based on that information.
When a vehicle is entered into Vehichaul, the rate engine will first check the vehicle against the Contract Rates. If it does not match up, it will check it against the Lane Rates. If it still doesn't match up, it will check the vehicle against the Mileage Rate. (If none match, it will keep the pricing at $0.)
IMPORTANT - Rates are entered PER VEHICLE, NOT PER LOAD. Therefore, make sure the rates are entered broken up by vehicle instead of the entire load.
