How Do I Email Invoices to a Customer

Step by Step Directions to Email Invoices to Customers

Start by making sure the customer has an invoice email address associated with it. **THIS STEP CAN BE SKIPPED IF YOU WANT TO MANUALLY ENTER THE EMAIL ADDRESS FROM THE INVOICE SCREEN**

∙ On the left side, click on Customer under Customer.
∙ Click on the orange Edit button and scroll down to the bottom of the customer profile, where you see the Invoices section.

If you don't see the Invoices section, please contact Support.

∙ Enter the customer email address you'd like the invoices to be sent to.  
     ∙ You can also enter any terms or due date (ie. 30, which would be 30 days from the date of invoice creation.
∙ Click on the green Update Customer button save your changes.

Once the invoice has been created, you can send the email from the invoice details.

∙ Click on Accounting, and then click on Invoices.
∙ Click on the invoice number of the invoice you want to send to the Customer, which will take you to the Invoice Details.
∙ Click on the light blue Email button to send the email.

∙ An email screen will come up, and automatically populate the email address you entered into the Customer Profile. **IF YOU DID NOT ENTER AN EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE CUSTOMER SCREEN, OR YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT, YOU CAN ENTER IT IN THE TO: FIELD**

∙ From here, you can add a message, and include the BOL and/or Documents along with the email by checking the box next to youR selection.  Click on send email once you are ready to send.
∙ You will be returned to the Invoice Details with a message that states, "Invoice packet email scheduled..."
∙ An email will be sent to the customer with the attachments requested.  *Sample email below*

***Please note, if an invoice is MANUALLY created, an invoice MANUALLY needs to be sent out. Likewise, if an invoice is AUTOMATICALLY created, it is AUTOMATICALLY sent out.***
