The 3rd party vin decoding service we utilize to decode vins does maintenance that sometimes affects the vins decoding properly, if at all. If you've reached out and learn that the vin decoder is up and running but still have vins that have not decoding, you can fix them by one of the following ways.

Decoding One Vin:

If you have one or two vins that need to be decoded, you can do so by going into the vehicle details page, and clicking on Decode VIN under the Actions button. Refreshing the page will then show the changes.

You can also decode vins from the Inventory Page under the Dispatch menu. Check the boxes of the vins you would like to decode, and then click on Decode VINs under the actions button.

Decoding Multiple Vins:

If you need to decode a large number of vins, you can do so from the Invoice screen under Finance by selecting Reconcile Vehicles.

Then select all the vins that need to be decoded by clicking the checkbox next to the vins, and click Decode Vehicles.
